High-rise condos with elevator windows, golf course homes behind the gate, and waterfront residences on the marina: Gulf Harbour moves run on building and HOA rules. Two Chicks Moving plans each one around them, with full-time crews from our South Cleveland Avenue office. Call to talk to a real person and get a free estimate.
Port Charlotte is the largest community in Charlotte County, stretching along the north shore of the Peace River and Charlotte Harbor across from Punta Gorda. It was built out from the late 1950s onward as a planned community, which is why so much of it is single-story concrete-block homes on canal-side lots, with newer neighborhoods, condos, and 55-plus communities filling in around Murdock Circle and the Tamiami Trail.
That shapes how a move here works. Many homes have canals, docks, and pool cages out back, many residents are retirees or seasonal, and hurricane season is part of every summer plan. Two Chicks Moving sends full-time crews from our Fort Myers office, about 45 minutes south on I-75, and plans for all of it before move day. Our local moving is billed by the hour, and our storage covers the gap when closing dates or seasons do not line up.
Every part of Port Charlotte moves a little differently. Pick your area to see what a move there usually involves and what to plan before moving day.
Murdock Circle, Tamiami Trail, and the Town Center area
Plan ahead: Older homes often have narrow doorways and older tile. We pad door frames and lay floor runners before the first piece moves.
Homes on Port Charlotte's network of canals
Plan ahead: Tell us where the truck can park and how far the carry is. We protect docks, lanais, and pool cages on the way out.
Golf and residential community east of the Peace River
Plan ahead: Ask your HOA about move hours and truck parking before you pick a date.
Boating community on the western edge of Charlotte County
Plan ahead: Mention boat-dock gear and outdoor kitchens when you book so we bring the right materials.
Older neighborhood along the Peace River
Plan ahead: Downsizing? Decide what goes to the new home, family, storage, or donation before packing day.
Age-restricted communities and home parks across Port Charlotte
Plan ahead: Get the community office's move rules in writing. Our senior moving team plans the day at a calm pace.

A 3-bedroom Port Charlotte home usually takes 3 movers about 5 to 7 hours for a local move. Canal-front lots and community rules can add time, and October through May is the busiest season.
